Audio: Outspoken Curt Schilling bashes both political parties on sports radio, says Hillary Clinton should be “buried under a jail somewhere”

PictureESPN Baseball analyst Curt Schilling, who was previously suspended by the sports broadcasting giant for tweeting political memes, called in to a local sports radio station in Kansas City, Missouri Tuesday for a baseball hot stove. The radio segment started off with Schilling telling his past time sports stories. It then suddenly changed into a political discussion. Schilling spared no details on his personal opinions of many hot button topics as he has been known to do. Schilling, who is a registered independent, was asked a multitude of questions from 610 Sports Radio host Danny Parkins, asking for his opinions on issues like the current state of America, Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump and his take on both parties in general.

Below is the compelling piece of audio where Schilling discusses the aforementioned topics that starts at the 28:00 minute mark and ends at 38:30.

Schilling on the current state of America

Parkins asked Schillings for his opinion on the current state of America. Schilling replied,

“If you look at the past 20 years of our country’s history, I would argue that we’ve never been worse off domestically and abroad. I think our standing globally has taken an enormous hit in the last decade. You look at the amount of people out of work — not just unemployed, the people who have stopped looking — it’s a staggering number. It makes the unemployment number a joke. I want somebody to sit in the oval office again that I trust.”

Schilling on Hillary Clinton

Parkins suggests to Schilling that it looks like we are going to see “Hillary vs. Trump” and asked Schilling to weigh in on that.
He said,

“If she’s allowed to get to the general election before she’s in prison I’ll be stunned and I’ll be upset. Because I think she’s shown her true colors all along the way and I’ll ask you this: Do you see her being anything even remotely different than what we’ve had?”

Parkins said that he believes she is clearly the most qualified when looking at her resume. Schilling rebutted saying,

“I would call BS on that because I do not care what her titles are. She’s done nothing. She has done absolutely nothing to further the success of the middle class and the success of this country. She jumps on the backs of people who she wants to be dependent on government. She needs these people to be dependent on her, to need her. And that’s what our government has done. Has it not? It has gotten to the point where it is so big that we believe we have to have it or we can’t make it.

Parkins then asks if he thinks she’ll go to prison.
Schilling responded saying,

“I hope she does. If I’m gonna believe, and I don’t have any reason not to believe, that she gave classified information on hundreds if not thousands of emails on a public server after what happened to General Petraeus, she should buried under a jail somewhere.”

Schilling on Donald Trump

The topic of discussion then transitioned over to Donald Trump. Parkins asked Schilling: What about Trump?
His response,

“I’m tired of the ‘we’re going to make America great again’. I get it but what does that mean? Here’s the thing, Donald Trump has proven to every politician on the globe that America’s voting block has given a giant middle finger to the establishment. He hasn’t elaborated on two sentences for a policy… There has been no depth to anything he says but look at the turnout. It’s staggering.”

Schilling says that he thinks the reason why Trump is popular is because people are sick and tired of the status quo from our government. That people are “sick and tired of the lying, sick and tired of the manipulating, sick and tired of being spoken down to.”

Schilling on both political parties as a whole

Schilling says that he despises both parties but thinks that this is the most important election in his lifetime.

The ineptitude and agenda of the media

When speaking on the media, Schilling asked the radio show host: “Have you ever seen a more agenda-driven media on both sides of the isle than this?”
He talks about how FOX is always considered right and CNN and MSNBC are always considered left. He said, “FOX News clearly doesn’t want Donald Trump to be the president and you can tell just by the rhetoric”.

At the end of the segment, Schilling jokingly said he will probably get fired. It will be interesting to see how ESPN reacts to this riveting piece of audio once they have a listen. Schilling is scheduled to join ESPN again as an analyst on Monday Night Baseball.
