Titans’ wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham ruins what was thought to be the NFL’s first arrest-free month since 2009

PictureLast month, the NFL boasted on what they thought to be the first arrest-free month since 2009. Turns out, those reports were not true thanks to Titans’ rookie receiver Dorial Green-Beckham, who was arrested just hours before the start of October. Green-Beckham was arrested during a traffic stop late last Wednesday in Van Buren, MO due to an unpaid speeding ticket, according to Chief Nick J McBroom of the Van Buren Police Department.

DGB was initially pulled over on a Missouri highway for going 65 in a 55 mph speed zone on Sept. 30. After running DGB’s license plates, the officer realized the Titans’ receiver had an outstanding warrant for unpaid speeding ticket in Fort Osage Beach, MO.

The 22-year-old rookie was released after paying $92.48 to settle the ticket. He received a written warning for his speeding infraction last Wednesday.

Green-Beckham’s arrest is not a serious one and the wide receiver does not face any disciplinary action from the league or the Tennessee Titans for the incident.

The NFL arrests database is monitored and updated by USA Today, and is where the false story originated from. Picture
