Heavy Rain Floods The Streets of Manhattan, Much To The Enjoyment Of Kansas State Students

Picture Photo Credit: Myranda Kimble / Found on KSHB KC: http://www.kshb.com/ The NWS has reported some parts of Manhattan, KS saw as much as three inches of rain fall in a matter of three hours earlier this afternoon.

The rain led to flash flooding leaving motorists stranded. The K-State website issued a warning, saying due to the rainfall most of campus was impassable. The university asked people to avoid the area. There hasn’t been any reports of injuries thus far. 

The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Manhattan, KS until 11pm tonight.
