Trash talking and playful banter between two fan bases in a playoff series is certainly not uncommon. But when two unlikely organizations join in on the fun, it adds just a little more fuel to the fire as both the Royals and Blue Jays look to advance from the ALCS to the World Series. The Kansas City Public library was the first to troll the Blue Jays fans, posting a photo to their Facebook page of three books stacked on top of each other that relayed a ‘poetic’ message. The Kansas City Public Library posted the photo shortly after the Royals’ 14-2 blowout win in Game 4.

They fired back today with their own clever response imitating the KCPL’s three-book stack with a message.

The Kansas City Royals and the Toronto Blue Jays’ ALCS playoff matchup has had the two cities on the edge of their seats as both teams are looking to advance to the World Series.
The Royals are up 3-2 in the series after the Blue Jays’ won today’s game 7-1. They will meet back in Kansas City on Friday for Game 6. Until then, we can only hope the two trash talking libraries are not finished but we’ll just have to wait and see. Your move KC.
