Although his GPS told him he was in the right spot, he wasn’t. Bencini had found himself in state Sen. Charlie Dean’s yard and Dean wasn’t happy. Dean arrived with a flashlight and gun, according to interviews and documents. What happened next is a case of he said/he said. Bencini said Dean threatened him with the gun. Dean said that never happened and that it was Bencini who was threatening.
